Speech Title: Advanced architectures of Next Generation Wireless Networks

Abstract: Internet Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms are expected to enable wide spread use of real time services. New standards and new communication architectures allowing guaranteed QoS services are now developed. We will cover the issues of QoS provisioning in heterogeneous networks, Internet access over 5G networks and discusses most emerging technologies in the area of networks and telecommunications such as IoT, SDN, Edge Computing and MEC networking. We will also present routing, security, baseline architectures of the inter-networking protocols and end-to-end traffic management issues.

Prof. José-Fernán Martínez

Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain

Speech Title: AFarCloud - Aggregate FARming in the CLOUD: the architecture, a success story

Abstract: AFarCloud provides a distributed platform for autonomous farming that will allow the integration and cooperation of agriculture Cyber Physical Systems in real-time to increase efficiency, productivity, animal health, food quality and reduce farm labour costs. This platform will be integrated with farm management software and will support monitoring and decision-making solutions based on big data and real time data mining techniques. The AFarCloud platform also makes farming robots accessible to more users by enabling farming vehicles to work in a cooperative mesh, thus opening up new applications and ensuring reusability, as heterogeneous standard vehicles can combine their capabilities in order to lift farmer revenue and reduce labour costs.
